The committee, consisting of the Deputy Chancellor, Vice-Chancellor, Professor D. Cochrane and Drs. I. D. Hiscock and T. E. Lowe, sought the views of Council members and staff and student associations in its consideration of Council procedures and proposed amendments to the Act. It reported to Council in 1969 and 1970 and was reconvened in 1971, with extended terms of reference, to advise Council on changes to the Act additional to those concerned with Council’s constitution. The committee reported again in 1971 and held its final meeting in September 1971.
