Biography
John Theobald graduated BSc (1953) and BEd (1957) from the University of Melbourne, and was awarded a PhD (1978) by Monash University. He was a foundation member of the department of Education at Monash in 1964, was promoted to Senior Lecturer in 1966, and appointed to the newly established post of Co-ordinator of DipEd Studies in 1974. Theobald worked as a consultant to numerous schools on their testing and reporting procedures. He is the author of 'An Introduction to the Principles of Classroom Testing' (1964) and numerous journal articles on classroom teaching styles and testing. He resigned from Monash in 1990.
