Entity titleRoad and Traffic Coordinating CommitteeEntity identifier180Entity typeAgencyDate range1984 - DescriptionThe Road and Traffic Coordinating Committee was constituted by Council at meeting 5/84. The committee was to be concerned with ensuring the safe movement of pedestrians, cars and bicycles within the university grounds and in areas adjacent to entrances, and with proposals to change the road and parking system. The committee was to recommend actions to the Vice-Chancellor of matters referred to it by the Safety, Parking, Buildings, Grounds and Master Planning Committees. Membership included the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Chairman of the Safety Committee, Buildings Officer and the Manager of Central Services. The committee appears to have met only twice (in 1986), before the university's safety committees underwent review. A Road and Traffic Sub-Committee was later (1988) established by the new Occupational Health and Safety Policy Committee.
