The committee met for the first time on 13 September 1966 and agreed that it should a) review the considerations which led the Interim Council to propose the establishment of the hospital on the site and b) report to the Board on what a hospital of the size contemplated would entail for the rest of the university. The committee was subsequently made a standing committee which would consider the implications of proposals of submitted by the Professional Planning Committee and the Joint Planning Committee. The committee met only once after July 1969 (i.e.. in June 1973) and was dissolved by the Professorial Board in July 1974.
