Biography
Emeritus Professor Enid Campbell (OBE 1979) was born in Tasmania October 30, 1932. She obtained a LL.B (Hons) (1955) and B.Ec (1956) from University of Tasmania, and a PhD (1959) from Duke University. Between 1959-1965 she lectured at the University of Tasmania, then from 1965-67 was Assoc. Professor of Law at Sydney University. Professor Campbell was appointed to the Sir Isaac Isaacs Chair of Law at Monash in 1967 and held this position until her retirement in 1997. Other positions held by Em. Prof. Campbell include: member of the Royal Commission on Australian Government Administration (1974-76); council member of ANU (1976-78); member of Law Reform Advisory Council, Vic. (1982-84); member of Constitutional Commission, Canberra (1985-88). Professor Campbell died on 20 January 2010.
