He was also registrar of the Pharmacy Board and Editor of the Australasian Journal of Pharmacy from 1942 until his retirement in 1965. He served as Secretary of the Australasian Pharmaceutical Publishing Co. for may years, and Honorary General Secretary of the Pharmaceutical Association of Australia.
Mr Kent served in France during the First World War, and was seconded to the Commonwealth Government in 1939-41 as Secretary of the Medical Equipment Control Committee. In 1927 he gained a Commerce degree from the University of Melbourne.
