From the beginning of 2002, all new and on-going commercialisation responsibilities, and staff, of Montech Pty Ltd transferred to Monash Commercial Pty Ltd (MonCom). The last Board meeting of Montech was 28 February 2002, but because of pre-existing contracts and agreements to which Montech was or is still a named party, resolutions and decisions continue to be made by Montech Directors.
In early 2004 Montech has two directors and a company secretary and there are no immediate plans to deregister or wind up the company.
Montech was mentioned in the Monash University Annual Report for the last time in 2008.
