The Council of the Institute first met in 1977 and Professor Westfold was a foundation member. He resigned from the Council at the end of 1982 and offered his copies of the Council papers for transfer to the archives. The series consists of copies of agenda, related papers, and minutes of meetings of the VISE Council from 1977 to 1982. For meetings from 1977 to meeting 4/82 the papers were stored in lever-arch folders.
