The new committee was to advise the Dean and be responsible for policy decisions regarding the provision of educational services in the faculty; to prepare an annual recurrent budget allocation for these services; to formulate policy on and have overall responsibility for the faculty's annual equipment (FS14) grant; and to be responsible for informing staff of the faculty of educational services and resources available.

This series consists of agenda and signed minutes of the committee for meetings 1/88 to 4/93. The final meeting documented within the series was held in October 1993, amid restructuring of the School of Graduate Studies, and may have been its last. The series also includes the Chairman's working file for 1988-89; papers associated with the work of the committee; and agenda and signed minutes of the Fund Source 14 Sub-Committee. Also included are the Secretary's papers related to meetings of the committee held between 1988 and 1991 (items 236-238).
