MON925: Sound: the official broadsheet of Monash University

"A convenient, reliable source of news and information," Sound was first published in October 1970 in response to the wide circulation of newssheets by student political groups. Between 1970 and 1977 Sound was printed on white foolscap; since 1978 it has been printed on coloured A4 sheets; and since 1987 it has often been issued as a 4 page A4 newsletter. In 1990 Sound and Monash Reporter were merged to create the new 'Montage', although Sound continued in part as 'VC's Desk'.
