This series contains Dr Ann Mitchell’s research papers on Lizette (Lizzie) Bentwich and her family history. Papers related to Lizzie’s relationship with Sir John Monash can be found in MON1369, along with papers on Agnes Paterson, the painter of the double portrait miniature. Family names (excluding Lizzie) most represented within this series include (but are not limited to): Norman Bentwich, Margery Bentwich, Friedlander, Emanuel/Abrahams/Mendelssohn, Agranat, Solomon.

- Telling tales: the genealogy, migration and re-settlement histories of Bentwiches, Hertzbergs, Solomons and Lichtenstadts, c.1840-1940 (item 281)

- The family of Norman Bentwitch (1867-1891) and his wife Miriam (Minnie) Israel (1869-1955): Australia - England - Canada (item 366)
- Bentwiches explained c. 1840-1940 (item 378)
- Margery Bentwich 1887-1976): Paradise Lost: biographical introduction and timeline focusing on travels and related family movements (item 410)
During the appraisal process for this series, the following was removed:
- Duplicates of emails and drafts (only the most recent versions of research drafts were kept)
- Personal items including photographs, correspondence, and material for travel preparation
- Photocopies of books and book chapters which did not include additional notes. Photocopies on which Dr Mitchell added her own notes were kept
