The Chaplaincy Centre Committee was established in March 1963 to consult with the churches and the chaplains to students and advise Council on all matters relating to the work of the chaplains and to the proposed Chaplaincy Centre. The committee met and reported to Council annually as planning for the Centre proceeded. On completion of the Centre in 1966 the Chaplaincy Centre Committee recommended the establishment of a permanent coordinating committee to be responsible for its administration. The Chaplaincy Centre Committee held its final meeting in 1967.
