The department had teaching facilities at Prince Henry's Hospital from 1969 until late 1991 when it moved to the Clayton site of the Monash Medical Centre (formed in 1987 by the amalgamation of Prince Henry's, the Queen Victoria Medical Centre, and Moorabbin Hospital).
The department of Psychological Medicine became part of the faculty's School of Psychology, Psychiatry and Psychological Medicine in 2002, which was then renamed School of Psychology and Psychiatry in November 2009 (Council 7/2009). This school was renamed the School of Psychological Sciences in 2013 (Ccl 6/13 item 8.2).
