Its membership was based on that of the Krongold Centre Planning Committee whose role the Steering Committee assumed. The role of both the Steering Committee and the MICAS Management Committee was to provide links between the activities in the Krongold and Elwyn Morey Child Study Centres and the Education Faculty. Both committees were also to have a close relationship with the Monash Medical Centre and the Steering Committee would assist with writing the MICAS charter.
