The committee reports to the campus Academic Advisory Board and the University Education Committee (prior to the restructure the AAB had reported to the Education Committee. The CEC is an advisory committee working in partnership with faculties and the joint venture partner at the Sunway campus. Its inaugural meeting was held on 25 July 2008
