The piece, called 'Orgelwerk' was composed for the Louis Matheson organ in the Robert Blackwood Hall by Richard David Hames. The piece was finished in November 1984 and a bound copy of the music presented to the Vice-Chancellor on 30 March 1985. The music is in booklet form, with a black plastic binding and brown cover. The pages of the copy presented to the Vice-Chancellor are photocopies and it is presumed that the composer retained the original. [ref Reporter Nov. 1985, p.12]
