An Organ Sub-Committee was appointed to determine and discuss specifications for the organ, terms of reference for a consultant, fundraising, the establishment of an organ appeal and the appointment of a builder. The sub-committee's inaugural meeting was held on 15 June 1973 and it was dissolved after installation of the organ in 1980.
This series documents discussion and decisions taken on the type of organ to be installed in the Robert Blackwood Hall; requests for tenders from select organ builders; summarised building quotations; architectural, acoustic and aesthetic considerations.
