Booklets detail orders of proceedings and list both graduands presented for admission and those admitted to degrees in absentia from all of Monash's graduation ceremonies including those held overseas.
Under special circumstances, Monash University Council has conferred degrees upon students, in absentia and between graduation ceremonies. The names of these students can be found in the Council Minutes and the Graduation Register, but their names do not appear in graduation ceremony programs. The university's first degrees were conferred by Council on 8 July 1963, to R. I. Cashman (MA) and R. D. Harcourt (PhD Science).
