MON445: Course Advisory Committee in Business agenda and minutes
SERIES DETAILS
Series identifierMON445Series titleCourse Advisory Committee in Business agenda and minutesSeries descriptionThe first meeting in this series was held in June 1979 after the introduction of new Victorian Institute of Colleges policy and procedures for the conduct of course reviews which directed colleges to review courses internally. The Course Review Committee in Business was formed from the amalgamation of two previous committees - the former Course Advisory Committee in Business (which prepared the submission for the Bachelor of Business) and the Course Advisory Committee UG3 Associate Diploma in Business Administration. In 1985 the GIAE Academic Board defined the role of course advisory committees as a formal mechanism for maintaining the link between the institute's vocational courses and appropriate professionals outside the institute. The committees were to advise the relevant boards of studies on occupational aspects of both current and proposed courses, and to approve course accreditation documents.
The series consists of the Secretary's copies of agenda, minutes (many signed) and papers for meetings of the committee from 1979 to its final meeting in November 1992. From 1980 agenda and minutes were printed on white A4. The papers are loosely held in manila folders.Date range1979 - 1992Series typeUniversity SeriesLinear metreage0.54Extent (boxes)3Format, size, conditionFilesKeywordsBoards & CommitteesGippsland
