Although the BEd degree had been taught since 1976, and the committee appears to have been established in 1982 in line with VIC guidelines, meeting 85/1 is the first documented in this series. A copy of minutes of 84/1 is included with papers for that meeting.

The series consists of the Secretary's copies of agenda and minutes for meetings 85/1 to 91/2. Meeting 90/2 held in August 1990 was the first as a committee of Monash University College Gippsland.
