The work done by the committee was implemented in the states by the work of the State Advisory Committees on Social Science Teaching. Professor P. Musgrave was a member of the committee during 1974 and during 1973-74 chaired the committee's Conference Planning Sub-Committee for a national conference for teacher education held in 1974.
This series consists of Professor Musgrave's copies of agenda and papers related to meetings of the National Committee on Social Science Teaching held between 1972 and 1974. Some correspondence is included within the series.
