Series identifierMON645Series titlePersonal papers and Monash memorabiliaSeries descriptionMaterial collected by Louis Matheson during his time as Vice-Chancellor of Monash University. The collection documents the foundation of the university and all aspects of life on the Clayton campus between 1959 and1976. The majority of the collection was transferred to the Archives during 1986 and most items are arranged chronologically by accession. Only two items include material inserted subsequent to Dr Matheson's retirement.
The collection includes memos; press cuttings; invitations; photographs and slides; programs for opening ceremonies, Open Days and for events staged at Robert Blackwood Hall; and student and faculty publications.
