Twenty four each of the paintings appear in volumes I and II of 'The Banksias' which were published in 1981 and 1988 respectively, and volume III is expected in 1997. In 1993-94, 48 original water colours from volumes I and II, and one from volume III, together with working drawings and field notes toured the United Kingdom. Exhibitions were held at the Kew Gardens Gallery, Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew; Inverleith House, Royal Botanic Gardens, Edinburgh; and the Usher Gallery, Lincolnshire. On return to Australia the works were then exhibited in Melbourne during October 1994 and Sydney during February/March 1995. 'The Banksias' project is now managed by Professor J. W. Warren of the Department of Ecology & Evolutionary Biology.
This series consists of records related to organisation of the tour by the exhibition co-ordinator, Ms Shirley Goldsworthy. It includes correspondence with galleries and sponsors; copies of agreements; records related to travel and conservation; budget papers; publicity material; and photographs.
