Series identifierMON817Series titleFiles related to the Victorian IVF CommitteeSeries descriptionIn 1982, while serving as Law Reform Commissioner, Professor Waller was appointed by the Attorney General to chair a committee 'to consider the social, ethical and legal issues arising from in-vitro fertilisation'. The IVF or 'Waller' Committee as it became known delivered its final report in August 1984, and many of its recommendations were subsequently implemented with the passing of the Infertility (Medical Procedures) Act 1984.

This series consists of monthly chronological files related to the work of the committee between March 1982 and January 1985. Several subject files are also included.
