Series identifierMON943Series titleEducation Committee agenda, minutes and correspondenceSeries descriptionIn March 1986 the School Board formally disbanded the Course Directors Committee and the existing Education Committee and established a new Education Committee which subsumed the terms of reference of both previous committees. These included making recommendations on matters related to submissions for new courses and changes to existing courses; advising on planning of course reviews and reporting on submissions; monitoring course subjects offered; and co-ordinating the activities of Course Directors. [School Board /86] Membership consisted of two academic staff from each department and two members of the Dean's establishment.
This series consists of the master set of agenda and minutes of the committee for meetings held between 1986 and 1989. Minutes of the final meetings of its predecessor committees are also included. The series includes separate files of the Secretary's correspondence for 1989 and 1990.
