Series identifierMON1308Series titleRecords related to Chinese-English Dictionary ProjectSeries descriptionA joint project of Monash University and the Institute of Vertebrate Palaeontology and Palaeoanthropology, Beijing, China, the project's purpose was the development of a bilingual dictionary and computer translation facility for Chinese palaeontological and geological literature.

A preliminary dictionary on a computer database was completed in 1987 and a final version (paper and disk) was completed in 1994, titled " A Chinese- English and English-Chinese Dictionary of Vertebrate Palaeontology Terms", co-authored by P. V. Rich, Y. P. Zhang, M. C. Chow, B. Y. Wang, P. Komarower, J. H. Fan, R. Sloss, J. K. M. Moody & J. Dawson.
