Caulfield Technical College (CTC)

In 1958 the Education Department conferred ‘College’ status on Caulfield Technical School and other technical schools carrying diploma and apprentice courses (CTS became CTC 17 July 1958). By 1964 legislation had been passed for the establishment of the Victorian Institute of Colleges (VIC) which covered seven technical colleges including Caulfield.

In 1968 after the formal constitution of the VIC Council, the junior section of Caulfield Technical College was separated as a new Caulfield Technical School while the senior section was renamed Caulfield Institute of Technology affiliated with the newly formed VIC.
