The series is made up of four sub-series which span the approximate date ranges 1972-77, 1978-82, 1983-88, 1989-92, and 1992-97. Date ranges overlap between sub-series. Files have been registered on the UCollect database as Item Type MUA-GIPPS. Because file numbers may be duplicated within sub-series, numbers for the second sub-series are prefixed by the letter 'A', those from the third sub-series by the letter 'B', those from the fourth sub-series by the letter 'C', and those from the fifth sub-series by the letter 'D'.
Files related to staffing matters, particularly Staff Review and Promotions Board files, were held within Personnel Services. These files cover the period 1972-91.
