Series identifierMON439Series titleStaffing Committee agenda and minutesSeries descriptionThe Staffing Committee was constituted a standing committee of Council in October 1985 following the adoption of a new constitution incorporating the institute Council. The committees terms of reference were to make recommendations to Council on terms and conditions of appointment and on annual establishment of academic and general staff; and to advise Council on development and maintenance of policy and regulations relating to personnel matters. The committee was made up of the President, Director and Deputy Director, and six members of Council including one member each of the academic and general staff. In December 1990, after the amalgamation with Monash, MUCG Council changed the Committee's terms of reference to include advising the Advisory Council on "the application of policies determined by Monash University Staffing Committee to MUCG staff".
This series is the Secretary's copies of agenda and minutes from meeting 3/86 of the Committee (May 1986) to 1992.
