Its role was to advise the Dean and the School of Applied Science on the development of applied science courses at GIAE; to advise on facilities and resources required to support such courses; to promote industry interaction in the education process; to act as a committee of review for accreditation purposes; and to project a scenario of applied science education in Gippsland up to the turn of the century. This series consists of a single file containing papers related to the committee's first meeting in February 1981 including briefing notes for members and draft and final minutes of meeting 81/1.
