Series identifierMON465Series titleCourse Advisory Committee for Nursing in the North East of Victoria agenda and minutesSeries descriptionIn 1987 Gippsland Institute became responsible for the planning, development and operation of nurse education in north-east Victoria at the Wodonga College of TAFE and Dookie Campus of the Victorian College of Agriculture and Horticulture, planned to commence in 1989. The Course Advisory Committee was intended to provide strong and informed external support and advice to the academic staff of the nursing program. It reported to GIAE Council through the institute Director prior to the course becoming part of an autonomous college in the region. The inaugural meeting of the Course Advisory Committee for Nursing in North East of Victoria was held in Benalla on 19 November 1987.

This series includes the GIAE Director's copies of agenda and minutes of meetings of the committee between November 1987 and September 1988 following which administrative control of the nursing program was handed over to the newly established Wodonga Institute of Tertiary Education. Also included are correspondence, news releases and papers documenting the establishment of the committee.
