This series contains a piece of paper 12cm x 12cm with an imprint of this seal. The seal, which is circular in design, has the words "Common Seal of Monash University" written around the outside of it and an 8 point 'snowflake' design printed in its centre.
During 1964, a new University seal was 'sunk'. Three drawings of this new seal, which incorporate the University Coat of Arms can be found in this series and they include a black and white copy on a piece of white paper 11.5 cm x 13 cm, a small grey and blue coloured copy mounted on a piece of cardboard 12cm x 12.5 cm and a light brown, light green and grey coloured copy mounted inside a dark brown cardboard card 17cm x 21.5cm.
Information about the custody and use of the University Seal can be found in the Monash University Act 1958, Section 4.
