Series identifierMON946Series titleAcademic Promotions Committee agenda, minutes and papersSeries descriptionThe committee was established by the School's Staffing Committee in 1985 in response to the CIOT promotions policy for academic staff, approved in December 1984. All applications for academic promotions were to be considered by the committee which would then forward its advice to the Dean of School (or Director) for a final decision subject to departmental budget and staffing profiles. Following amalgamation with Monash the committee was replaced by a faculty Readership/Associate Professorship Committee in line with the university's promotion procedures. This series consists of the master set of papers related to all meetings of the committee held between 1985 and 1990. Papers include applications and supporting documentation, agenda and minutes of meetings, reports to the Dean, correspondence, and documentation related to appeals.
