Its role was to consider all applications, confidential and referee reports, and interviews if required in order to make recommendations on promotion to the University Readership/Associate Professorship Committee. The committee was chaired by the Dean of the faculty. The series consists of a single file of papers related to meetings of the committee held in 1991-92. These consist of applications, correspondence, agenda and minutes, and brief reports on meetings.
